Case Study: Manufacturer Wants to Provide Better Access to Marketing Resources

Our vendor portal has been very popular with our clients. We started working on it several months ago and have been able to develop a good base for future features.

Right now the portal provides three really valuable features for dealers and distributors:
  • First, the portal shows the dealer/distributor how much coop funding is available to them right now. The dealer/distributor can also upload current sales figures which can then be used to add additional coop funding to their balance. To make it as easy and straightforward as possible, there’s an easy-to-use template that can be downloaded and filled in, which then can be uploaded for quick approval.
  • Second, dealers and distributors can propose events and projects and specify how much of their coop funding they want to use. Because everyone is working off of the same request information, in the same location, the process has been greatly streamlined and is transparent to everyone.
  • Third, all of the sample products and marketing materials that can be downloaded or purchased using coop funds are available through the portal. As a result, the dealers and distributors can make sure they always have the materials they need to better market this manufacturer’s products.

We have been striving to strengthen the relationships between manufacturers and their dealers and distributors. The features we have added to the vendor portal and the features we are in the process of adding are helping us continue to do so. We have been excited about the response we’ve received and plan on adding quite a bit to the portal over the next several months.
